These polishes are very glossy and have great color payoff.

La Laque Couture No. 6 Rouge Dada is part of the YSL Trio Gift Set ,which contains three full size nail polishes and is only available online. NARS Petit Monstre Lipstick Review

NARS Petit Monstre Lipstick

NARS Petit Monstre Lipstick is described as a "rich berry" and is under the satin finish category. The color is a soft red with lots of finely milled orange/gold shimmer, which make it look almost metallic. The texture is very creamy and pigmentation is great. The formula was comfortable for me to wear for more than 5 hours. I really like that this lipstick has no fragrance.

YSL La Laque Couture No. 9 Fuchsia Intemporel Review

YSL La Laque Couture No. 9 Fuchsia Intemporel

When I think of fuchsia, I imagine a shade of red with purple in it. The YSL La Laque Couture No. 9 Fuchsia Intemporel, looks like a pinky red more than a purple red to me. Nevertheless, the color is still pretty and it has a glossy finish. This nail polish can be purchase separately for $25 or as a part of Gift Trio for $60. With a base coat and top coat, the polish lasted about a week with only some wear on the very tip of my nails.

Laura Mercier Translucent Pressed Setting Powder Review

Laura Mercier Translucent Pressed Setting Powder

To set my make up and avoid too much oiliness throughout the day, I have being using the Laura Mercier Translucent Pressed Setting Powder (0.28 Oz (8.1 g), $34). I was tired of using loose powders and I wanted to try something less messy when it comes to application and travel. This powder comes in a compact with a mirror and a sponge. It helps my makeup stay in place for awhile, but after 3 or 4 hours my skin starts to get oily. Even though the powder is translucent, it still has to be applied with a light hand or it will look kind of ashy and cakey. This product is finely milled and when I used a brush, sometimes it would go everywhere. The packaging is great for traveling and the powders work well. However, in terms of amount per dollar, you get more product for about the same price if you purchase the loose version of this setting powder (1.0 Oz (29 g) ,$35).

Laura Mercier Tawny Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 Review

Laura Mercier Tawny Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20

I would describe my skin type as combination type. I have some oiliness on my forehead and nose and some small dry areas around the cheeks. I have being wearing the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 for a while and I like it OK. The shade Tawny is "for light tanned and olive complexions with yellow undertones." This shade is pretty good match for my skin color. The coverage is light and the formula feels hydrating on my skin. However, I have to apply a primer under this moisturizer and a setting powder on top to keep it from oxidizing throughout the day. Since the outer part of the cap fell apart for no reason, I don't like the packaging very much.

Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation Primer Review

Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation Primer

I have being using the Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation Primer for a couple of months and my overall impression is that it's good. This primer contains "a good-for-you blend of vitamins and minerals to visibly improve the appearance of skin." Vitamins A and E are the two vitamins listed in the ingredients. This primer looks milky white when squeezed out of the tube and goes on clear when smoothed out on the skin. It does make my skin feel smoother, but I don't see much difference in the appearance of my pores or my overall skin. Since foundations primers are designed to prolong the makeup wear, this primer worked well. I like the product, but I don't like the packaging as much. I tried to store it with the cap facing down, but the product kept making a mess inside the cap.

YSL La Laque Couture No. 29 Dore Orfevre Review

YSL La Laque Couture No. 29 Dore Orfevre

Without a doubt, the new Yves Saint Laurent La Laque Couture No. 29 Dore Orfevre is gorgeous. The color is gold, but not too yellow. It is more on the soft rosy gold. I used two coats on my fingernails and the color payoff was excellent. With a base coat, this nail polish lasted about 5 days with some wear on the tips but without chipping. Although I really liked this shade, I had some issues with the formula. Since the nail polish is very metallic, it applied with some streaks. I also had to deal with a few tiny bubbles and it took longer to dry compared to other YSL nail polishes.

NARS Douce France Trio Eyeshadow Review

NARS Douce France Trio Eyeshadow

Continuing on another NARS product, Douce France is a an eyeshadow trio with shades of pink. The lightest shade is described as a "icy pink." The second shade is described as a "rose petal pink." The third shade is described as a "deep rose." All the shades have a small amount of very fine shimmer, but the deep rose shade looks more on the matte side. The formula feels silky and smooth, but the pigmentation is only so-so. The lightest shades is hardly noticeable on my skin. The other two shades are better, but you still have to pack the color to make them more visible. With the help of an eyeshadow primer, these shadows stayed on without creasing for over 6 hours, but they still faded overtime.

NARS Nana Lip Gloss Review

NARS Nana Lip Gloss

Nana is another lip gloss I picked up from the NARS sale. The shade is described as a "deep black grape." The color looks strong and dark inside the tube, but it is disappointingly sheer. When applied, the little amount of pigmentation this product has settles on the lines of the lips. The formula is not very sticky and is very comfortable. However, this shade only lasted a little over 3 hours on my lips. I liked that this lip gloss has no shimmer nor fragrance.

NARS Luxor Lip Gloss Review

NARS Luxor Lip Gloss

NARS Lip Gloss in the shade Luxor is described as a "iridescent pink." The formula is supposed to be "ultra-smooth, non-sticky, and comfortable to wear." There is not a lot of pigmentation in this lip gloss. The color payoff is a sheer wash of fine iridescent pink shimmer, which looks pretty on top of lipsticks. The formula is conformable to wear, but I did find it a bit on the sticky side. I wore it for over 4 hours and my lips felt hydrated the entire time. The full price of this lip gloss is around $25. I purchased mine for about $15 during a NARS insider sale.
