NARS Andy Warhol Edie Gift Set

During the NARS Family and Friends sale, I decided to purchase the NARS Andy Warhol Edie Gift Set. The price of this set is $75 and according to the website the retail value is $101.60. There are four products in this set nicely presented inside an authentic 16mm film canister. There was also a "get the look" card inside that can be used as a guide of how to use these products. Here is my review on each of the products.   

NARS Deep Throat / Amour Mini Blush Duo

NARS Deep Throat / Amour Mini Blush Duo

Of the four products, my favorite was the Deep Throat / Amour Mini Blush Duo. This is a combination of two highly pigmented blushes. Deep Throat is described as "a flirty, sheer peach." This shade has a shimmery finish. Amour is a "peachy pink" with a matte finish. The size of this mini duo blush (0.17 Oz. (5 g)) is slightly bigger than a standard NARS blush (0.16 Oz. (4.8 g)). A single NARS blush retails for $28.

The Edie Eyeshadow is described as "cream with a little bit of shimmer." This eyeshadow is a full-sized product, which individually retails for $24. The shade is wearable and versatile. It can be used all over the eyelids or as a highlighter on the cheeks. The pigmentation is decent and the formula blends well. Without a shadow primer, I only experienced some fading. but not creasing. Using a shadow base, defenitly increases the longevity of this product.

NARS Carpates Eyeliner Stylo

The Eyeliner Stylo in Carpates is a black felt-tip liquid eyeliner pen. The tip of the liner is a lot longer than I expected.  I'm still practicing to get a perfect line. There is no way to control how much product comes out of the tip, but it glides smoothly and once it sets, it does not smugde. This is also a full-sized eyeliner that retails for $27.

NARS Film Star Pure Matte Lipstick

NARS Film Star Pure Matte Lipstick

My least favorite of the products was the Pure Matte Lipstick in Film Star. The color description is "60s nude pink" and I don't agree with it. The color seem more yellow than pink on a white base. The shade is not flattering on my medium tone complexion. Perhaps, it would look better on light tone complexions. The formula seems too waxy and did not apply evenly on the lips. Even though it only lasted 2 hours on my lips, it was comfortable and not drying. This is also a full-sized product and retails for $25.

Overall, I enjoyed some of the products more than others. As a gift set, you can save some money instead of buying all 4 products individually.
