HYPNÔSE Doll Lashes Mascara

I had high hopes for LANCÔME's HYPNÔSE Doll Lashes Mascara and I was a disappointed with the performance. This mascara looks great on paper "it sculpts, curls and loads each lash for the ultimate shiny lash fringe. Lift and thicken every single lash without weighing it down." I liked the glossy black formula, but it clumped when I applied it. The shape of the brush helps to separate the lashes and the tip comes handy on the inner corner, where the lashes get smaller. The mascara holds the curl better than HYPNÔSE DRAMA Instant Full Body Volume Mascara, but it smudged within 4 hours of wearing it.

Halloween is around the corner and this year I decided to carve a pumpkin for the first time. I love Tokidoki art made by Simone Legno. I feel that the art has a fun dark cute side and the characters are adorable. My favorites are Mozzarella and Killer Candy. The Woodhouse Chocolates offer Halloween treats, which are so intriguing to look at and so good to eat!

The original price of the Tokidoki Airways Palette was $42. I purchase mine from the sale section at Sephora for $15. I am sad that Tokidoki products will not longer be available at Sephora. I really like the packaging of this brand. This palette includes 8 eye shadows and one super cute key chain. The coverage of the shadows is sheer and the pigmentation is decent, but not awesome. The packaging is adorable, but bulky for traveling. You might still be able to find one at your local Sephora.

I am a huge fan of the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils. I purchased this set during the friends and family sale at 20% off. This set includes 8 full-size eye pencils and one Grindhouse Sharpener. Four of these eye pencils are new shades. The price of this set is $59, which is a great value for full-size products. Individually, each eye pencil retails for $19. These eyeliners are very creamy, pigmented, and wear for a long time without smudging. All the colors in this set are wearable and the bright shades provide a nice pop of color. Since the formula is so creamy, sometimes the tip of the pencils can break easily. The sharpener fits standard size and wider pencils.

The Estée Lauder Pure Color Vivid Shine Lipstick in Forbidden Apple is a medium red with orange/gold shimmer. The formula is creamy and applies smoothly on the lips. The coverage is light to medium. I wore it for about six hours without reapplication and my lips did not feel dry. The color started to fade slightly after 4 hours. The shimmer or sparkle is subtle but noticeable. Overall, I like the color and the creamy texture of this lipstick.

The Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Ballet Pink is a soft light pink with very little shimmer. It can be wore alone or as an eyeshadow base. The formula is creamy and blends easily. For creamy eye shadows, I prefer using my fingers for application or a synthetic eyeshadow brush. My eyelids are oily and creasing is one my concerns when it comes to wearing makeup. This long-wear cream shadow lasted over 10 hours without creasing or fading.

The Violet Underground Five Color EyeShadow Palette is also part of the Estée Lauder Violet Underground Collection.  The packaging is blue/purple compact and it comes with two applicators and 5 eyeshadows. There are no names for the individual shades. I will described them as the champagne, fuchsia, bronze, midnight blue and soft matte black. The first four shadows are shimmery, almost metallic. The fuchsia and the midnight blue had the most fall out and chunky consistency. Of all the shadows, I found the fuchsia and the soft black lacking pigmentation. Without an eyeshadow base, I felt that the shadows blended easier, but the color started to fade after 4 hours. On the other hand, the shadows did not blend as well with an eyeshadow base, but the color stayed on for more than 10 hours. This palette looks amazing, but it did not performed as well as I hoped.

The Estée Lauder Pure Color Velvet Lipstick in Black Cassis is a limited edition lipstick from the "Violet Underground" collection. The formula is described as "soft matte, smooth, creamy, and non-drying". The color is a deep gorgeous wine. The texture is very creamy and it glides smoothly on the lips. I have to agree with the "soft matte" description. The finish is not glossy, but not completely matte either. The packeging allows you to see the color of the lipstick easly. I wore this lipstick for about 5 1/2 hours, this included having lunch and drinking fluids. After 3 hours, my lips started to feel a bit dry and color started to fade slightly. Because this lipstick is highly pigmented, I had to use make up remover to take it all off. This is my first lipstick form Estée Lauder and I liked it a lot.
